Comp 01
Masters
of Mytchett aka MOM
July 02
'Drop
in Sean'
'From the people that brought you King Of The Underground' read
the flyer to the much anticipated Masters Of Mytchett. Another 'Have
You Seen Gin' production brought to you by Regiment 36, and another
great comp.
The day consisted of two parts. First of all was the much talked
about Indy vs Tensor six-a-side match. Half an hour each way of
hatred-filled slackness.
From the kick off it was evenly matched for the first 10 minutes
with neither team making it onto the scoresheet. Then suddenly Rat
pounced for the Indy team to put them ahead. A few minutes later
a second was added with a dubious own goal. It was all looking good
for team Indy until Rich scored after a winding run to keep Tensor
in it. Things turned around at that point, and Tensor put four more
past the Indy keeper before half time.
After the essential half time beers Indy looked even more slack
than at the end of the first half, and eventually let in another
10 goals. The only consolation was a deflected shot by Gin late
on in the second half, and so the game ended 15 - 3
Even
though I was on the losing side, I really enjoyed the game and it
brought another side to the day which I think everyone agreed was
fun and ludicrous.
Thanks to Toby for refereeing, even i he did make some dodgy decisions.
We'll meet again Tensor. We would have got away with it if it wasnt
for you meddling kids.
Enough of that football nonsense, and on to the real purpose of
the day, the miniramp comp. As with KOTUG, there were two age categories..
Under 18s and Over 18s. Both comps were tightly contested but in
the end two people came out victorious..
Metal won the under 21s and Adam wone the Overs, congrats to both.

After the Comps there was an impromptue 'best trick' Jam which we
said would be 10 minutes long, but ended up going on til we were
bored. Good tricks were put in by Ryan Burge, Peacock, Metal and
even Mrs Merlin, but the eventual winner was Nutbag for pulling
a bluntstall fingerflip to fakie, sick.
Cheers again to everyone who came down. Special thanks have to go
to the following people..
Svenn for advertising, Toby for reffing the match, Dog, Duncan,
French, Metal, Rich and Aaron for judging the comps, but especially
to Merlin for commentating / mcing. I think weve found our compere
for every event ever. Riotard.
